Frame cramps & lateral restraint ties are often required in masonry walls to ensure their stability and connection with other structural components, including pre-existing walls and steelwork. At Vista, we offer a comprehensive range of lateral restraint solutions that are designed to prevent any lateral movement between the masonry wall and the connected structure.

Our range includes the VE7 Holed Frame Cramp, the VE7D Holed Frame Cramp With Drip, the VS7 Slotted Frame Cramp, the VS7D Slotted Frame Cramp With Drip, the V7H Frame Cramp Dowel Hole, the V96 Wire Frame Cramp, the V63 Clasp Tie, the V97 Wire Clasp Tie, The VCT Column Tie and the VA7/VA&PE Frame Cramp.

This frame cramp is made of either stainless or galvanised steel

Frame cramp supplied with a drip to prevent moisture crossing the cavity. Drip position 90mm from safety end as standard.

Similar to the VE7, the VS7 Slotted Frame Cramp includes a slot in the upstand, allowing for the incorporation of various fixings.

As above but supplied with a drip to prevent moisture crossing the cavity. Drip position 90mm from safety end as standard.

Frame cramp with 3 x 6.5mm holes in the projection for a dowel bar. Used to restrain stone cladding and coping stones.

Welded wire frame cramp for all applications, as the VE7, with added flexibility provided by a wire projection.

Clasp tie, fixed to the side of a stanchion and used to restrain brickwork.

Wire clasp tie, fixed to the side of stanchion but also allowing extra movement with the flex of the wire section.

A simple and cost effective product for restraining masonry back to ‘H’ section stanchions, providing four different slots to suit differing flange thicknesses.

For offset fixing where masonry is not in line with the steel column. Angle with 7mm fixing hole as standard with fixed projection tie. Debonded plain end projection also available (VA7PE).

If you are unsure which of our lateral restraint products you need then please call the office who can discuss your requirements.

For further information on which wall tie to use for non-lateral restraint-specific issues, please refer to our recent blog post, “Which Wall Ties should I use?” or contact our office on 01663 736 700.

Frame cramps & lateral restraint ties are often required in masonry walls to ensure their stability and connection with other structural components, including pre-existing walls and steelwork.
